Stephanie Patrick Millican - Dental Assistant
Hi, my name is Stephanie Millican. I relocated to Dyersburg from Memphis in April 2004. I have been with Dyersburg Pediatric Dentistry since May 2004. I work as a Dental Assistant. My responsibilities are to welcome you and your child back for the most comfortable visit possible. Sometimes, the children are apprehensive about work being done on their teeth instead of a routine cleaning. This, to me, is one of my most important roles, to help them to remain confident and comfortable during their procedure. I do this by explaining everything we plan to do that day in a way that they can understand. I allow them to taste, smell and feel all the different instruments and products we will be using that day. By doing this, leaves no room for any unexpected surprises. Nothing is better than seeing them boast about how easy it was and how good they did!  That to me, is my ultimate goal, a healthy mouth and my patient’s happiness!

Gina Sampson - Sterilization Tech

Stephanie Patrick Millican
My family and I relocated form Memphis 3 years ago in May. I have a daughter named Hannah and a son named Nathan. I previously worked in a workroom as a dental assistant at Dyersburg Pediatric Dentistry but have recently received my license in coronal polish and have been transferred to the hygiene department. I now have the opportunity to polish floss and take radiographs to assist the doctors with establishing a treatment plan for your children. I also have the responsibility of keeping you the parent and you children informed of ways to help prevent cavities by demonstrating and discussing proper brushing and flossing techniques as well as crucial changes in your child’s diet to help maintain a healthy smile. My goal is to answer any questions you may have and to be sure your child has a better understanding of the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and gums all the while with a smile on thi8er face. The number one reason why I love where I work is that we all strive for one main goal and that is to provide good quality care in a stress free environment. I truly believe a child’s first experiences are crucial in forming positive attitudes for future dental treatment on into adulthood. Fear is one of the number one reasons adults, avoid dental treatment and this is our opportunity to reverse the majority to a minority. I look forward to seeing you and your children soon!
